Four Distinct Landscapes in One Journey

This five-day safari is designed for travellers who want to experience several of Kenyaโ€™s most recognisable wildlife regions within one journey. It begins in the immense wilderness of Tsavo East before moving through the more dramatic volcanic scenery of Tsavo West.

The route then continues to Amboseli, where large elephant herds roam beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, before heading north to the Great Rift Valley and the freshwater ecosystem of Lake Naivasha.

Meet your professional safari driver-guide at your hotel and depart early for Tsavo East National Park. Enter the park and begin your first game drive across the vast red-earth plains. Tsavo East is famous for its red elephants, large herds of buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions and an impressive variety of birdlife. Arrive at your lodge or camp for lunch, relax briefly and continue with an afternoon game drive before returning for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Tsavo East โ€“ Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo East โ†’ Tsavo West

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive while leaving Tsavo East and continue toward Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo West offers a contrasting landscape of volcanic hills, lava flows, woodland, open plains and natural springs. Visit key wildlife areas and, depending on conditions, stop at Mzima Springs where hippos, crocodiles and aquatic life may be seen. Continue to your lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, leopards, lions, buffalo, giraffes and other wildlife.

Day 3

Tsavo West โ€“ Amboseli National Park

Tsavo West โ†’ Amboseli

Begin with breakfast and a short game drive as you leave Tsavo West. Travel toward Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro when weather conditions are clear. Arrive for lunch and later enjoy an extended afternoon game drive across the parkโ€™s open plains, acacia woodland and seasonal wetlands. Look for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, lions and cheetahs before returning to your accommodation for dinner.

Day 4

Amboseli โ€“ Lake Naivasha

Amboseli โ†’ Nairobi โ†’ Lake Naivasha

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Amboseli, one of the best times to photograph wildlife against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return for breakfast, check out and drive toward Nairobi before continuing through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Arrive in the afternoon and settle into your lodge. Depending on timing and your confirmed program, you may enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and prolific birdlife or simply relax beside the lake.

Day 5

Lake Naivasha โ€“ Nairobi

Lake Naivasha โ†’ Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy your final morning at Lake Naivasha. Optional activities may include a boat safari, Crescent Island visit or a short nature experience depending on your confirmed itinerary. Later, depart for Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley highlands. Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport according to your onward travel arrangements.
